Aviiana reached some major milestones in 2025 some that had us jumping for joy, and others that had us staring at each other in disbelief and wonder. One of the most significant has been our partnership with the incredible team at Sixpivot to create the Aviiana app, technology that we believe will revolutionise how women experience perimenopause and menopause.
Sixpivot is an Australian technology consultancy and software development company, known for building elegant, maintainable and impactful software. Founded by Faith Rees, with Shirley Harrod as CEO and Simon Kalinowski as Chairman, their leadership, values and culture immediately resonated with us.

We could not be more thrilled to collaborate with the team at Sixpivot. We chose them not only for their technical expertise, but because as two women building an app for women, who better to partner with than a technology company led by women? After an inspiring keynote by Dr Kelly Nuttall, where she spoke about the importance of women in tech, how few there still are, and how vital their perspectives remain, we knew we wanted to work with Faith and her team.
We wanted the lived experience of women working alongside us to create something intuitive, supportive and empathetic paired with exceptional technology that makes information, programs, products and services available at the touch of a button.
At Sixpivot, that philosophy is deeply embedded. They believe technology is the easy part of building software. Understanding the why - the business drivers, constraints and intended outcomes behind what you’re building is where the real work lies. There is a genuine care for craft and for outcomes. Everything Sixpivot builds is as much a reflection of them as it is of the clients they work with, and that responsibility is taken seriously.
Sixpivot’s capability lies in designing and delivering complex digital products at the intersection of technology, people and purpose. With decades of experience across industries from government and large corporates to mid-market customers and individual founders - they understand how digital platforms must operate across multiple stakeholders, regulatory environments and real-world constraints. For founders building platforms driven by a deeply personal why, that level of understanding, collaboration and partnership becomes even more critical.
As Faith shares:
“It was hard not to buy into Ali and Mary’s deeply personal why for Aviiana. They are such an infectious duo. Every interaction with them is warm and joyous — there’s always laughter on every call.
The team working with Mary and Ali get swept up in Mary’s excitement and her vision for the future. Some of the most successful projects we’ve worked on are those where the founders aren’t only committed to the platform they’re building, but to the community they’re building it for.
A very personal reason behind the app means that every time they walk into a room to talk about it, they’re telling their story — and it pours out of them; they can’t help it. They also have the commercial savvy necessary to keep the dream alive. Mary and Ali have this in spades, always sprinkled with humour.”
Aviiana is an Australian health-tech company and wellness platform dedicated to supporting women through perimenopause and menopause. We offer community, expert-led programs, an e-commerce store and now, our upcoming AI-powered app for personalised midlife health guidance. We want to be that friend who also happens to be a nurse - deeply knowledgeable in all things menopause - who is there to provide comprehensive resources and empower women to navigate change with strength, confidence and kindness.
From Sixpivot’s perspective, that purpose is unmistakable.
“After reading Ali’s book and spending time with Mary to hear her personal story, it’s clear that Aviiana is not just a product or platform. It’s something they believe in deeply — bringing education and normalisation to women’s health, which is dearly lacking in our society.
It’s a safe space and a movement that supports our bodies and minds as we navigate life’s hormonal transitions.”
Faith also points to Aviiana’s commitment to working with leading experts across all facets of women’s health as a defining strength:
“Their commitment to finding and working with key experts is a testament to what they’re building. It’s not superficial - it’s a purposefully curated community of professionals sharing years of experience and research to help women navigate their most challenging concerns throughout menopause.
This passion, commitment and grit to bring Aviiana to life - and to build a global community - are what will make Aviiana a huge success, with groundswell momentum that extends far beyond the founders.”
What excites us most is where this is all heading.
“Ali and Mary instantly make you want to be Aviiana supporters,” Faith says. “I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve recommended Ali’s book and Aviiana’s shop to the women I know - just wait until we’ve finished the app… I’ll be recommending it to everyone.
What they’ve achieved through crowdfunding is phenomenal, and that community will continue to rally around them. The app will help them reach so many more women, which is incredibly exciting. I also love that it’s equally aimed at educating children, friends and partners of women - helping them understand what’s happening as our bodies transition.
The plans they have for Aviiana’s future are incredibly exciting; the app is just the first step. I’m so grateful they chose us to be on this journey with them.”
With Sixpivot, we know we’re creating something truly special. Their culture - recognised through awards such as Best Place to Work in Australia - emphasises flexible, inclusive policies and is brought to life by a team of enthusiastic, dedicated people who have made working on this dream project an absolute joy.
We live in a tech-heavy world, which is why we believe so strongly that it’s possible to build technology that feels less like a robot and more like a friend - with the right information, at the right time, delivered with care.
This is just the beginning.
